"1 am in recepit of your letter of the 19th inst., covering a petition i from Mr W. B. S. Lindsay, of Mangaotaki. and several other settlers, urging that a grant be provided to widen and culvert the road between Pio Pio and Haku; and, in reply, have to state that the representations contained therein are noted and will have my careful consideration when I am dealing with the Estimates." MANGAKOWHAI ROAD. "1 am in receipt of your letter of the 19th inst., covering one from Mr C. McDonald, of Pio Pio, and other settlers, urging that a subsidy of £6OO be provided towards the metalling of the Mangakowhai road; and, in reply, have to state that this application will have my careful consideration when the Estimates ar9 being prepared." PARAKETU, OKOKE, AND OTEWA " I am in receipt of your letter of the 12th inst, covering letters from Mr L. Parkes, Waimiha. with reference to Paraketu road; Mr P. Darke, of Okoke. in regard to the metalling of Okoke road; and from Messrs Barker Bros, and Wright, Otewa, urging that road access be provided; and, in reply, have to state that the representations contained therein will have my careful consideration when I am dealing with the Estimates."
