VALEDICTORY SOCIAL.

The departure of Miss Mills from Te Kuiti was the occasion of a valedictory social in the Municipal Hall on Monday evening. Mr J. Boddie, on behalf of a number of friends, presented Miss Mills with a cameo brooch and expressed regret at her departure. Mr D. J. Young responded on behalf of the recipient. During the evening musical items were contributed by Mrs Cowan, Messrs Blackman, Young, Adams, Gills, Smerdon, and Guy (songs), duet Mr and Mrs Pattison, and instrumental items by Mrs and Miss McKav. Dancing was indulged in til! after when a most enjoyable gathering dispersed.
