ENGINEERS' KEI'OUT. 1 beg to report upon the works under the charge of your council siw'9 last meeting as follows: Potaka Road: Owing to the -late, of thn road, Mr Lewis has had to suspend work on his metalling contract until tho summer sets in.—Toioro Road: Messrs Hickson and West have ceased metalling, but are quarrying and doing oilier necessary work so as to he readily to continue metalling as soon as the weather is favourable. -- Miroahniao-Mangaoiaki: A contract for the construction of three stone culverts on this road was let during the monih to Mr R. Edgar.--Pukearuhe Road Mr Innos. who has a contract to metal two miles o:i the south end of this road, and another of forty chains on the nor;b end. is now quarrying and having snails ready for crushing on both works.- —Te KuitiAwakino: The per; ion of ibis road under the control of your council is in a bad side. bu f ail ill at can be done is being done as far as i'um's nnd circumstances will allow.
