A deputation to the Premier in favour of the Channel tunnel pointed out the development of aerial navigation. The French Government was favourable°and the tunnel would cement the entente. The cost of a double tunnel estimated at 31iS.ono.iion, would readily be subscribed. Mr Asquith said the Committee of Imperial Defence was reconsidering the tunnel question.
