DAIRY COW SALE. The Farmers' Co-operattive Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report: —■ At the borough yards, Hamilton, on July 9th, we held our annual dairy cow sale, when just over 400 head of dairy cows and heifers in calf were submitted. Buyers were present from all parts of the district, and with a very few exceptions all lines were disposed of at prices much in advance of those ruling lately. The cattle were generally of a good type, and had been well wintered. Altogether the sale was a highly satisfactory one and was the most successful of the annual dairy sales held at the9e yards. Several whole dairy herd* sold readily, btst cows making from £7 10s to £lO 15s, more backward sorts £5 5s to £6 10s, best Jersey-Holstein cross heifers £9 to £ll sa, be3t Shorthorn cross heifers £6 15s to £8 15s, medium heifers £5 10s to £6 10s, backward sorts £4 10s to £5 ss. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report:— We held our usual sale in the Hamilton yards on Thursday, July 10th, when we yarded 3607 sheep, 109 head cattle, and 21 pigs. There was a brisk demand for all classes of stock and all lines offered changed hands at satisfactory prices. We quote: —Fat ewes 14s to 18s, small fat wethers 21s, two tooth forward wethers off turnips 18s 7d, store wethers 15a 6d to 17s sd, shorn hoggets 8s 6d to lis 6d, woolly hoggets lis lOd to 13s lOd, f.f.m. ews in lamb 13s 3d, six tooth ewes in lamb 19s, empty ewes 10b to 12s, fat bullocks, light weights £9 10s to £lO 4s, fat cows £3 6s to £4 9s, calves 32s 6d to 50a, bacon pigs £2 12s to £3, slip pigs 16s, small pigs 33 6d to 5s 3d. We held our usual monthly sale in the Te Awamutu yards on Saturday, July 12th, when we yarded 542 head of cattle, also sheep and pigs. There was a good demand for all classes of Btore Btock. Dairy cattle were dull of sale. We quote:—Fat cows and heifers £5 to £5 17s 6d, two and a half year steers £4 16s to £5 15s, eighteen month to two year steers £3 10s to £4 7s, yearling*

£2 16s to £3, calves 289 to 52s 6d, three year heifers in calf £5 101 to £5 15s, two year heifers in calf £4 10fl to £5 ss, empty heifers £3 2s to £3 9s, springs £6 2b 6d to £8 10s, f.m. ewes in lamb 14e.
