N.Z. FARMERS' UNION.

MANGAORONGA BRANCH. Own Correspondent. A meeting of the above union was held at Rangiatea eehonlhome on July 7th. There were present—the chairman, Mr Sircouibe, secretary, Mr Swainson, and thirteen members. Messrs Somerville, Gadßby, Geo. Budge and MacLuckie were elected members. A resolution was passed drawing attention to the growth of Canadian thistle in the surrounding districts and the secretary of Otewa branch be written to asking his assistance in eradicating the weed. It was agreed that subjects of intereat be discussed at meetings if possible, one member to lecture on one subject at each meeting. Mr Corboy was requested to write the Education Department concerning the right of way from the main road to the Mangaoronga school.
