" BE A SPORT."

TO FOOTBALLERS AND ALL IN THE GAME OF LIFE. >

If your team its game is losing, If your luck is really out. Do not show a dirty temper, Do not wag your tongue about ; But smile and take it kindly, Always be a cheerful Eort' Remember, only fools act blindly— Just try and be a-sport, If you think the referee incomp'ent, If you suffer by his ways. Do not treat him over-harshly But think of brighter, day?. He works—but not for wageß, Thanks to him amount to naught, Mistakes run on for ages— Like you, he is a sport. If by chance the game you're playing Does not please Selector's eye; If some other man your place is asked to fill Do not be down hearted, sit and sulk and cry. But take it, face it boldly In the manner that you ought; Look not upon selectors coldly— Always be a sport! If your name is in the " special," If your faults are jotted down, Don't itch to kick the scribbler, Don't talk fight and rago and frown; Just say: "By Jove! he's nabbed me Someone else will soon be caught." Others, too, may get it badly— Don't forget—just be a sport! —Rev. A. Armstrong.
