The <"onimittee pay £SIOO oatimated deficit on the expedition, and assigns £17,500 for the publication of the scientific results, for providing a memorial at St. Paul's, and sculptured bronze figures of the five dead at Hyde Park. of ihe fund, estimated at £IO,OOO is to be devoted to future Polar research. Captain Oatea' relatives do not require assistance. The committee contributes towards the regimental memorial.
