PAT STOCK SALE.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantle Aegncy reports:—At Westfield yards, on Wednesday, fat cattle were penned in average numbers, and prices were lower than last week, showing a drop of from 2s to 3s ner 1001b, prime oxen selling to 31s per 1001b, others 27s 6d to 30s, cows and heifers 23b to 275; steers sold at from £9 5s to £l3 17s 6d; cows and heifers £4 to £lO. Calves were penned short of requirements, and sold at high values. Heavy vealers sold to £5 ss, medium weights £2 10s to £3 15s, others 30s to 435, smaller and fresh dropped 3s to 20s. Sheep were yarded in large supply, and receded in value from Is to 2s for inferior fatted. Prime wethers sold at from 24s to 27s 6d, others 19s 6d to 23s 6d, unfinished wethers 13s 6d to 19s 3d, heavy ewes 21s to 25s 9d. others 13s to 20?. Hoggets were yarded in average numbers, and sold at late rates. Best quality sold to 19s 3d, others 10s 6d to 17s 9d. Pigs were yarded in good supply, and again sold at high value, large baconers selling at £4 10s, baconers £3 10s to £4, large porkers £2 12s to £2 18s, porkers £2 to £2 lis, slips 30s to 355, weaners 7 3 6d to 15s. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsonville sale as follows:—A good yarding of prime bullocks and sheep came forward, and sold readily at late rates. Prime bullocks £ll to £ll 12s 6d, lighter £lO 10a to £lO 12s 6d, light £9 12s 6d, prime cows £8 ss, light veal 22s to 245, prime heavy wethers 23s to ,23s 9d, prime wethers 22s 4d to 22b 6d, light 20s, plain 18a 2d, prime heavy ewes 19s to 19b 6d, plain 15a to 16b 2d, prime lambs 15s to 16s Id, good 18i 96.
