Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows: — HAMILTON STOCK RALE. In the Hamilton yards on Thursday, 19th inst., we held our usual tri-weekly stock sale when we had a large yarding comprising 2276 sheep and 403 head of cattle. Bidding was brisk throughout especially for sheep and all lines changed hands at advanced prices. The cattle comprised i mostly big bullocks for whieh there was a keen demand. We quote: — Weaner pigs 6s to 10s 6d, porkers 37a 6d to 40a, fat wethers 20s 7d to 25s fat ewes 18s to 19s 3d. store wethers 4 tooth 17s 6d to 20s Id, 2 tooth wethers 17s 2d, woolly lambs I2s Id to 12s 6d, shorn lambs 6s 6d to 10s 2d, empty ewes 10s lOd, f.m. ewes in lamb 12s'to 13s 4d, fat bullocks 4 and 5 years £lO 7s to £l2 ss, 3 to 4 years £8 15s to £9 ss, fat cows £6 9s to £7 15s, spayed heifers, fat £7 6s, empty cows £3 18s to £4 ss, forward bullock] off turnips £7 7 s to £7 Bs, 3 year bullocks £6 to £7 ss, 2 year steers £4 Bs, cow and calves £4 10s, well grown calves 40s to 455, smaller sorts 18s to 255, heifers in calf £4 2s 6d to £5 10s, dairy cows £5 5s to £7 10s.
