Owing to tho recent absence from To Kuiti of Mr Mostyn Jones, president of the Chamber of Commerce, no committee '"cetings has been held of late. It was intended to have held a meeting this evening, but the time has now been fixed for Friday evening at 7.30 o'clock, at the Municipal Chambers. At the meeting of tine Wellington Education Boa"d yenterday, the School Journal and Standard and Special Renders wore lengthily din-usurd. A motion "That the hoard suggest, to the Minister of Education the advisability of extending the wvftj]noi;i' of tho School Journal," wan earned - Press I Association.
