The organisation of tho Notional Reserve for tho Auckland Military District lias been entrusted by General Godley to Colonel Allen 8011, who served in tho IWatahele ami Boer wars, and was lately in command of tho Waikato mounted regiment. Colonel Bel! will shortly set up a committee of military oflicora to plans governing the organisation. The object of the movement is to enroll men who have aervod in any military and naval forces of tho Crown, who being over ago for training in the Terrilorialn, arc under no obligation for further nervico but. are willing to nerve in tho event of national emergency.
