FOOTBALL.
The local football teams—Nehenehenui and Te Kuiti—will meet on tt-e Domain on Saturday, and a very keen contest should result. The Te Kuiti team proved victorious on the last occasion upon which the teams met, but the Maori players have acquired better combination since then. At Otorohanga last Saturday the Nehenehe put up a sterling battle with the leaders for the championship, and it will be no surpise to see them victorious on Saturday. The form shown by Te Kuiti Club during the season indicates that while ' good material is included in the ranks, the forwards require to achieve much better combination than has yet been shown by them. However, if they can hold the Nehenehe vanguard their backs should just about turn the scale. MANIAPOTO RUGBY UNION.
