FIRE AT AUCKLAND.

KEMPTHORNE, PROSSER AND CO.'S PREMISES. [ni- TELEGRAPH. —I'KKSS ASSOCIATION.] I Auckland, Friday. Kempthorne, Prosser, and Co.'s extensive chemical manure works at Weatfiled Were destroyed by fire early this morning. The men- employed on the night shift had left the works for supper about five minutes, when the building was seen to be enveloped in flames. The insurance on buildings, stock, and fitfcngs, totals £15,300, which amount is allocated amongst nine insurance offices aa follows: —Union Assurance Society, £1000; Ocean Insurance Company, £1000; Commercial Union, £2500; National Insurance Company, £500; South British Insurance Company, £2000; Standard Insurance Company, £750; Lloyd's Company, £3800; New Zealand Insurance Company, £1500; Northern Asurance Company, £2250. !
