BOROUGH POUNDKEEPER.
APPOINTMENT MADE. For some time past there has been no poundkeeper in the borough, and complaints as to the nuisance of straying stock have been frequent. At Monday evening's meeting of the Borough Council Cr Walsh referred to tb"e matter, and pointed out that footpaths were being destroyed by straying animals, while fences and gardens were being damaged. He urged that a poundkeeper be appointed without delay.
