THE FOLLIES. We have again to remind our readers of the first; appearance in Te Kuiti of Tho Follies to-night. The company has made a great name for itself on account of its excellent part singing and original comedy. Included in the company is Miss Cissy Keefe, one of the finest contraltos New Zealand has produced; Miss Iris Edgar, fascinating soubretto soprano; Miss Lulu Lussains. an original comedienne and dancer, with tho hallmark of London and South Africa in her work; Mr Afford Keefe. rich basso; Mr Kennedy Black, composer, baritone, and pianist; Mr Hugh C. Steyn, an English Pierot comedian, with London reputation. Popular prices will be charged, and the box plan is at McColls', where seats may be reserved without any exti a charge. EMPRESS THEATRE. "The Count." The Count, whom Mr Barres met while abroad, writes that he is in love with his daughter Gladys attends an art school. Her fellow students tease her about the Count, and she tells her father, who reprimands them. They play a practical joke on her. They send a telegram to Mr Barnes requesting him to call at his hotel that evening. The studentß disguise themselves as counts, and when the Barnes's call they are mot by a countless army of counts. They are glad to escape, and Gladys has had enough of counts, and gladly accepts her American sweetheart, whom she really loves, and tho Count finds himself left.
