+ EMPRESS THEATRE. "When the Mask Falls."—A young man in business becomes infatuated with Sanna, a beautiful actress, When he meets Sanna for the first time they aTe interrupted by a bank manager, who has already been on intimate terms with the girl. The bank manager wishes Sanna to come away from her new friend, and troubles ensues. It results in Sanna uainga subsequent occasion to repel the bank manager's advances, and show him that shefpfavours the other lover. In revenge the manager plots to ruin his rival. He is the means of bringing ' considerable business troubles upon his opponent, and the young man's mother, in order to save her son, persuades Sanna to part from him. Sanna makes the sacrifice and agrees to receive the bank manager once more. The bank secretary informs her of some napers in a certain drawer, and the po~ "asic.n oi t he says wil save the situation. Sanna gets them and escapes, and the way for the man she loves is won.
