WEDDING BELLS.

RODGER- BARKER. ♦ A quiet wedding was solemnised in the Presbyterian Church on Thursday morning, 29th inst.. when Mr E. L. Rodger (of the Chronicle, staff), sixth son of Mr D. Rodgers, Bay of Islands, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Mian Janet Barker, only daughter of the late Mr Colin Barker, Geelong, Melbourne. The bride, who was given away by Mr Wooles, was attired in a pretty navy blue costume, witti picture hat, and wore a handsome gold bangle, the gift of the bridegroom. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. Armstrong, and the happy couple left, amidst showers of rice and petals, by the express train for Rotorua, where the honeymoon will be Bpent. The presents were numerous and handsome. SMIITH—COGGINS. On Wednesday a quiet wedding whb celebrated in Te Kuiti, the contracting parties being George, eldest son of Mr Peter Smith, of Christehurch, and Mary, eldest daughter of Mr William Coggins, of the Te Kuiti railway staff. The newly wedded couple left the same day for their future home at Owhanga.
