The bowling season a! Te Kuiti is just about to close, and preparations are now in hand lo top-dress the green. An excellent lot of soil for top-dressing is being obtained close to the green, and Mr E A. Power, who is supervising the work is highly pleased with the prospects. Ho is confident: a great improvement in the green will result from the top-rlresH-ing.
The final of lln- dub championship singles was played <>)]' during the week by Mr E. A. I'nwiir and Major husk. After a good Rami 1 victory rested with the former, hut (he Major is to bo congratulated on getting ho close to tho championship.
Tho Cochrane ferns a< ill remain in the hands of the Taylor loam though an attempt wan made- to secure tho trophies by the colts. Another game for the ferns will probably evontuato before the season closes.
