THE PRESIDENT'S RECOMMENDATIONS. WOOL DUTY TO BE REMOVED. By Telegraph—Preaa Association.— OopyrUr&t Received April 11, 9.50 p.m. Washington, Friday. It is definitely understood the Senate will accept President Wilson's recommendations noncerning the Wool Bill. Sugar one cent, duty with the right to alter the other schedules as they think fit. The work of amendation has already started. Several State delegations visiting the capitol are urging the retention of a small duty on wool. A considerable number of Sonate Democrats are backing the delegations' demands, but the presidential recommendations will likely carry.
A HAWAIIAN THREAT. FREE SUGAR UNPOPULAR, Honolulu, Friday. A petition is circulating threaten ing the secession of Hawaii from the American Union if free sugar is adopted.
