TE KUITI SPORTS CLUB.
The annual sports gathering of the above club will be held next Wednesday on the Domain, and a successful meeting is assured. The committee have arrangements well in hand, and given fine weather a record attendance should be recorded. The Mayor has proclaimed Wednesday as the halfholiday instead of Thursday, and the committee have arranged with the Pharos Co. for an entertainment in the Town Hall in the evening and will follow with the sports dance from 9.30. The services of Mr Christian has been secured for dancs music Side shows will be on the ground, and it is expected that several teams will be competing in the tug of-war. A challenge match between two wellknown local people for an Irish jig is creating considerable interest. The children will not; be forgotten, toys being secured for distribution.
