Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows: — We held our second sale in the Te Aroha yards on 4th inst., when we had a good yarding. There was a good demand for all classes of stock, consequently all lines offered changed hands. We quote: —Fat cows £5 10s to £fi 14s, forward empty cows £4, weighty bull £6, spring heifers £5 10s to £7, good calves 34s to 445, heifer calves 425, small and poor calves lis to 225, yearling steers £3 Is to £3 7s, fat ewes 15s, woolly lambs lis, weaner pigs 6s to 9s. We held our monthly sale in the above y"ards Ngaruawahia on 4th inst., when we had an average yarding. We quote: —18 months steers £3 5s 6d to £3 lis, yearling steers £2 10s to £2 17s 6d, yearling heifers £2 lis, forward empty cows £4 is to £4 10s, heifers in calf £5 to £5 10s, weighty bulls £6.

We held our monthly sale in the Cambridge yards on Monday last, when we had a small yarding which sold at late rates.

We held our supplementary sheep fair in the Ohaupo yards on Tuesday last, when fully the advertised number of cattle and sheep came forward. There was a large attendance and bidding was brisk for all lines of sheep, and we report a total clearance. Cattle were dull of sale. We quote: —Shorn ewe lambs*lo3 3d to 10s sd, shorn woolly do. 10s Id, cull lambs 7s Id, fat lambs 12s 6d, fat ewes 12s lOd to 14s, s.m. empty ewes 9s lOd to 10s 7d, s.m. eweß in lamb 10s 8d to 12s, 2th wethers 14s 4d to 14s 9d, 2th ewes 13s 6d, Romney rams 1J to 2gns, 2£ year steers £4 14s to £4 17s 6d, cows and calves £3 15s, weedy calves 255.
