SANITATION DANGERS AVERTED

The steam fire engine commenced pumping yesterday, and has succeeded in getting water to the reservoir. Pumping is being continued, and if success continues sanitation dangers will be avoided. It is hoped to have the Mataura paper mills running again in a month's time.
