BOWLING.
Two rinks from the Te Kuiti Bowling Club played a club match at Te Awamutu against the local club, on Monday last. The games resulted as follows: —Ericksson, Clarke, Stevens, Matthew (skip), 22, Clements, Jones, Laurie, Wallace, 15; Taylor, Lusk, Julian, Williams (skip), 20, Stevenson, Christian, Woollass, White (skip), 6, Te Kuiti thus won both games.
A team of lady croquet players also visited Te Awamutu, but owing to pouring rain their games were not completed. A rink of bowlers consisting of Messrs Spencer, J. A. Williams, MWilliams and C. Ericksson, played in the Palmerston North Easter tournament. Six games were played, out of which the local team won four. As the start on the Pairs matches was made before the completion of the fours matches, the Te Kuiti men were unable to remain
