EMPRESS PICTURES. To-night, Thrusday. and Friday.— "Wheel of Destruction": Helene Durand is betrothed by Albert Dubailey. She is one day rescued from an accident by Hibos, a young motorist. He gets injured and is taken home by Helene, who takes care of him. lliboy is to enter into a groat motor race, and is telling Helene all about it when Albert appears. Ho takes the other for a rival, and determines on rovenge. Late one night ho enters the motor shed and tampers with Hibos' steering wheel. The day of the race comes, and after going a short distance Hibos' motor turns and crashed on a steep hank, and ho ia taken by the ambulance cart to the tent. Albert follows with a guilty look, and at this motnont he is confronted by the ambulance man with the broken steering wheel He pleada for Hibos' forgiveness, who can uiTot* to give it for ho has won Helena's love s besides the race. PREMIER PICTURES. To-morrow evening at the Alexandra Rink the above pictures will be screened, and amongst the pictures shown will be "The Defence of the Dardanelles." The star film is entitled "Zika: Queen of the Gipßioß," a film worthy of viewing. The film is over 272!"> feet in length, and is supported by comic, industrial, educational, dramatic and topical pictures. The management specially recommends the whole programme.
