The famous stallion, St. Hippo bocame so decrepit that ho had to bo shot at Bullock Downs Estate, Charters Towers, where he has been for some time. (St. Hippo, by St. Lodge—Hippona, was foaled at Auckland about 25 years ago, and bore one of the most diwtinguished names in the annals of Australasian racing.)
