WEDDING.

FENTON—BLACKMAN. A very pretty wedding was solemnised at Mr A. Blackman's residence Fencourt, Cambridge, on Wednesday last, when Mr Robert Fenton, of Te Kuiti, was united in holy wedlock to Miss Ollive Frances Blackman, eldest daughter of Mr Arnold Blackman. Mr R. Ashton performed the ceremony The bride, who was given away by her father, looked winsome in a pinspct muslin gown, trimmed with lace insertion and ball fvinge. She also wore the customary veil and orange blossoms and carried a lovely shower bouquet of Japanese anemones. She was attended by Miss Elsie Prosser as bridesmaid,who was attired in a pretty white silk dress with pink bows and streamers and also carried a basket bouquet. The bridegroom was suorted by Mr Charles F. Turner, of Te Kuiti. The bridegroom's pres- | ent to the bride was a handsome gold pendant studded with pearls and rubies, and to the tiny bridesmaid a gold brooch. After the marriage ceremony, and the duty of facing the photographer, all adjourned to a large marquee, which had been erected on the lawn, where breakfast was set. The tables were tasetfully arranged and every facility was there for the enjoyment of the guests. The time-honourad toasts were duly given and rsepoonded to. The happy couple then left amid showers of rice and good wishes, for Frankton, en route to Christchurch, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride's travelling dress was a navy tailored costume, with hat to match. The presents were both numerous and useful. In the evening the friends of the district were entertained to a dance and social in the flautapu Hail. About fortj couples Were present and a most enjoyable time was spent. Mr Andy McFarlane efficiently carried out the duties of M\C.
