ROUND THE WORLD WITH CHAPMAN AND ALEXANDER.

A FINELY ILLUSTRATED RECORD. The official souvenir, which has been published by T. Shaw Fitchett in connection with the visit to Australasia of Dr Chapman and Mr C. M. Alexander and party, claims to be the most ambitious piece of religious journalism ever published, and the claim is justified —for it is wonderful value for eighteenpence. Beginning with a condensed account of the mission conducted in Australia in 1909, the story is told of the party's tour through the east, across Canada and America to England, back to the States, and once again to Wales through Ireland, and of their campaigns just concluded in New Zealand, South Australia, and Melbourne.

The reading matter of the Chapman Alexander souvenir is widely varied and ineludeß articles, sketches, interviews, and verbatim reports of many of Dr Chapman'B sermona, and many pages devoted to the personal story of the missioners. The illustrations are remarkably fine, comprising twenty-two large plates on art paper, and perhaps a hundred other portraits and views. The plan of dividing the one hundred odd pages into a dozen or more sections placed in order of date is admirable, and every section makes a delightful bit of reading. The volume is a great record of the work in Australia, and describes the great mission in Dunedin.

Dr Chapman has expressed the following opinion of the souvnir: "I need scarcely aay that I sincerely appreciate the publication of the Chapman-Alexander aouvenir, which gives such a complete and magnificent record of our work. Nothing approaching it in literary quality, pictorial effect, and general value haß ever b«en published in the realm of evangelistic literature, and I think it ia an issue of which Australia m'ight well be proud. Moreover I, consider that its distribution throughout the country will do an immense amount of good in places which we cannot hope to reach." Any reader who wants to get this souvenir should send Is 6d in stamps or postal note to T. Shaw Fitchett, 376 Swantson street, Melbourne.
