Mr Harcourt, in reply to a question, said he was communicating with the Governor of Fiji, regarding tho frequency of murders due to marital jealousy arising from the inadequate number of women under indentured immigration. The Governor said there were no grounds for commuting four recent sentences. Mr Harcourt said he did not think a special enquiry was necessary.
