HAWKE SHIELD MATCH. In the cricket match for the Hawke Shield, between South Auckland and Wanganui, commenced at Hamilton on Monday, the South Auckland team batted first, and scored the fine total of 319, J- Pomeroy 56, and Turbotfc 51 not out, being top scorers. Wanganui, in the first innings were all dismissed for 73, and in the second visit to the wickets were dismissed for 86, South Auckland thus winning by an innings and 160 runß.
