The Editor. Sir, —'Whoever is responsible for the article "Tangitu Main Road," appearing in your issue of Ist inst? Anything more misleading it would be difficult to imagine. If the subject is to be touched upon in your columns* inform your readers of the true state of affairs. Let them know that there is very little likelihood of anything being done to the so-called "road" this season. Before the last general election a terrible cry was raised about maladministration. But what have we in this case? That part of the road that has always been passable is tu be metalled, and the remainder, at the present rate of progress, just before the next general election. Perhaps?—l am, etc.,
