William Patrick Cranston haß been committed for trial for the manslaughter of Jamea Murphy. The evidence showed that they quarrelled in a cafe. Cranston struck Murphy, who in falling hit his head on the pavement.

At the inquest on William McMillan, whose body was recovered from Kareelah Creek, near the Queensland border, the evidence showed that McMillan was a member of a party of four.
