A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

The executive of the King Country Central A. and P. Association met in the secretary's office on Friday afternoon.

The matter of judges waß further gone into, and one or two vacacies filled.

A letter was received from Messrs Barraud and Abraham stating that they were willing to present a cup to the society, the committee to suggest what"class they would like the cup allotted. After discussion it was decided the cup be allotted to the exhibitor obtaining the most points in the Shorthorn classes. Mr R. T. Bailey forwarded a special prize for a tandem class—roadster. Both these ' trophies were accepted with thanks. Resolved that the Railway Department be asked to issua excursion tickets from Te Kuiti to Te Kumi from February 15th to 20th also to run trains as follows:—Special train Te Kuiti to Te Kumi 11.46 a.m. return 5.50 p.m.; a carriage on the 9.45 p.m. goods to Taumarunui and a special from Frankton to Te Kuiti to arrive at 11.30 a.m. Resolved that the entrance fee for champion hacks be: for members ss, non-members 10s. The matter of the erection of shed on showground was left in the hands of Messrs Somerville, Stevens and Graham.

The following new members were elected:—Messrs G. McDonald, A. G. B. Price, Comer Board, K. P. Robertshaw, J. E. Walker, and Hambrook Bros. The stewards of the association are requested to meet in the secretary's office immediately after the 'stock sale on Wednesday 29th inst.

A working bee will be held on the showground on February 7th. As there is a large amount of work to be done, members are urgently requested to attend. Luncheon will be obtainable on the ground. It was decided to change class 31 in the schedule to read as follows:—Best walking horse, draught mare or aelding, to be led or driven.
