AMUSEMENTS.

EMPRESS THEATRE. To-night a complete change of programme will be screened at the above theatre, when sevaral pictures of high merit will support the star film, "The Vengeance of Fate." This picture is an American drama, and opens with the digger in his log cabin where visions of his first marriage float before his eyes. Several interesting events lead up to the time the Government decides on action and hold a Council of War. Treachay within the compound assist the Indian rising. This is followed by a splendid picture of the Indians on the warpath, looting. The picture gives promise of being classed amongst the Dest yet screened in Te Kuiti. A powerful supporting series of educat onal, comic, dramatic and scenic pictures will also be screened. PREMIER PICTURES. At the rink, on Wednesday and Thursday evenings spiandieo" programmes of the very latest films were shown to appreciative audiences. The dramas, "Her Gift" and "Two Daughters of Eve " being exceptionally good. The management assures the picture : loving puulic that nothing but the very latest and best will henceforward be shown at the Rink and anticipates good crowds on future visits. Look out for next Wednesday's programme in our amusement columns.
