Herr Kieler, a German 'inventor, took a three-mile walk over StarnbergLake, near Munich, using 'water shoes'; of his'own. construction. Despite the,wind and the rough surface of the water, he covered the distance in an hour and a half. The ;"water fhoes" are of cylindrical form and are 6ft. long. They are. constructed of brass frames and sailcloth.
