WELLINGTON WOOL SALE.

The wool sales,opened to-day. There was a large attendance of buyers, and a record catalogue* totalling nearly 26,000 bales. The wool is heavier in condition, but notwithstanding this, prices show a drop of fully Jd on December prices. The American buying (a slack, competition coming chiefly: from Bradford and the Continent. The local mills are a factor at the sales.
