DEADLY LEVEL CROSSINGS.
TRAIN DESTROYS A MOTOR.
ONE KILLED AND ANOTHER INJURED.
[bt telegraph.—p«ess"'association.J I . ' Hawera, Wednesday. A fatal accident occurred at the Normanby railway station nroning this afternoon.
1 It appears that a motor ear, driven by Frederick Butterwortb, of Opunake, with whom waa John Young, also" of Opnnake was ran into by • special train from Neat Plymouth. Young was killed instantaneously, and? Butterwortb, who was seriously injured, was taken to the Hnwera hospital. Young was a single man, aged thirty-four years, and a blacksmith by trade.
The motor car' waa smashed to pieces,.
