FAT STOCK ASSOCIATION.

A fairly representative meeting of settlers wag held in the Municipal Hall on Wednesday evening to consider the advisability of forming a Fat Stock Association. Mr R. M. Somerville occupied the chair and ex : plained the advantages to be gained by such an organisation and. introduced Mr Bath, of the Auckland Farmers' Freezing Works. Some very valuable and interesting information was given to the meeting, and th« system explained as to the working of a freezing works in its relation to fat stock.

It was eventually decided to form a Fat Stock Association, and the following gentlemen were appointed a committee tu arrange details in connection with same: Messrs Wilson, M.P., Sellars, Sornerville, Gadsby and Major Lusk,
