PAEMAKO.

Own Correspondent. At last we are having a little dacent weather, and our farmers are wise enough to take advantage of it. They are all busy getting in the different crops. Old Paemako is changing her brown coat for a green one, thanks to the new blood and the butter industry. The long-looked-lor waltzing coinpetition took place on November 29th, and in spite of a wet evening was a perfect success. The judgts, Messrs C. K. Wilson, M.P., Wall and Ross, had some close work to do in picking xut the winning couple (Miss A. Trust and Mr J. Kilmartin). The dancing throughout was good, but in the final it was really splendid. The promoter has netted a nice little sum, which will be spent for the benefit of the children.
