FIRE AT CAMBRIDGE.

NATIONAL HO lEL DESTROYED. CATHOLIC PRESBYTERY DEMOLISHED. [hv TKi.i-:<;nAr:i. —riu.ss association.] Cambridge, This Day. The National Hotel, of over twenty rooms, was completely destroyed by fire yesterday afternoon. Messrs Crowther and Bells' large stables alongside, and Mr Murphy's blocks of shops opposite ignited, but were saved with little damage. The hotel was owned by Hancock and Co., of Auckland, but the insurances are not yet known. Soon afterwards the Catholic presbytery, nearly three hundred yards away, was seen to be ablaze. The convent school and residence of Mr H, Beavis, alongside, were saved by the wind shifting. The insurances are unavailable. Both the presbytery and hotel were old buildings.
