SWIMMING CLUB.
A general meeting of the'Te Kuiti Swimming Club was held on Thursday evening at the Chronicle office, wh«n a large number of numbers attended. Several new members were accepted, and the next meeting of the club members will be held next Tuesday at the Chronicle office to finally arrange about the erection of the shed, which will be 14ft by 12ft. It is hoped that sufficient money will be in hand to allow for the roofing of the shed. It i 3 also expected that arrangements will be made by the club so that swimming on the river will be restricted to' the boundries allocated to tbH Swimming Club by the Borough Council, hence the advantages to all swimmers of joining the club, and by membership using the appointments provided. The subscription is very small for membership, being 5s tor all over eighteen years and 2s 6d under that age.
