GALE IN ENGLISH CHANNEL.
WIDESPREAD DESTRUCTION. A STEAMER FOUNDERS. Received this day, 10.40 a.m. London, Tuesday. A severe gale is raging in the Channel on the west coast, which caused to collapse of a crane in Vickers' shipyard at BaroW. Two were killed and twelve injured. The steamer St. Patrick foundered at Star Point, and five were drowned The action of the sea has caused great erosion on the coast at Rhyl, which threatens to destroy the railway.
