PUBLIC WORKS SHORTAGE. MALADMINISTRATION CHARGED By Telegraph.—Press Association— Conyrisiu Received November 23, 9 a.m. Sydney, This Day. The Labour party is contesting all the seats for the Council excepting one. In the Assembly during a discussion on the Public Works Estimates, Mr Griffiths' administration was severely criticised. Mr Henely claimed that chaos reigned from top to bottom of the department, and deliberately charged it with maladministration.The very dogs had been barking maladministration for the last twelve months. If the Minister refused to accept the challenge anu make communication for an inquiry wid* enough to cover the charge, he was not only the biggest maladministrator, but the biggest bounder in the State. Another member declared the fat man of the future would be associated with'the Labour party. Mr Griffiths, in a heated defence, characterised the story of alleging he had invested £40,000 in England, where he was going to live when he retired from politics,'as the blackest lie.
