Own Correspondent. The local monthly stock sale, held here on Friday last, was a little disappointing to sellers, stock being a trifle easier, although the greater part of a very large yarding changed hands at very fair average prices. The Paemako residents paid Mr Nash a high tribute last week, by a farewell evening, with a presentation of a silver-mounted whip. The presentation was made by Mrs Anderson, in a fevV suitable words, on behalf of the Residents. The waltzing competition given by the Town Hall directors on Thursday nighc last, proved a great success, the hall being Wtd) filled. Ten couples competed for t\he coveted prize, which waß won handsotmely by Mr and Mrs Slines. Mr Christian, of Te Kuiti, provided the mus'ic, which was much enjoyed. \
