It is proposed to form a local branch of the Bible in State Schools League in Te Kuiti. A meeting of all those interested in this object is to be held in the Church of England Hall on Monday next, 18th inst., at 8 p.m. The Anglican, Presbyterian. and Methodist Churches in New Zealand having pledged themselves to support the movement, the local ministers of these churches are uniting to make the objects of the League understood, and ask for the support of all who will join with them for this purpose. When Canon Garland, the Dominion organising secretary, can come to Te Kuiti it is proposed to call a public meeting but in the meantime the local committee,, when elected, will carry on the work necessary to bring before the parents the advantage they can claim for their children, if they wish.
