TENDERS will be received at this office until noon on THURSDAY the 31st day of October, 1912, for the erection of the above proposed building. TENDERS FOR METALLING. LTERNATE TENDERS, addressed > to "The Chairman," and marked on the outside "Tenders for Contract No. 1, Waitomo, will be received at the County Office, Te Kuiti, until 5 p.m. on MONDAY, Nov. 4th, for quarrying, crushing and delivering 8300 cubic yards, more or less, of limestone metal on Hangatiki-Wai-tomo road. a. Price at per cubic yard if contractor finds his own crushing plant b. Price at per cubit' yard if crushing plant is supplied by Council. Alternate tenders are also invited under the same conditions for Contract No. 2, Waitomo, being a continuation of Contract No. 1, for quarrying, crushing and delivering 5000 cubic yardß, more or less, of limestone metai. Plans and specifications may be seen at the County Office, Te Kuiti. Lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

SPORTS AT TAUMARUNUI, 26th AND 28th OCTOBER, 1912, "HOLIDAY EXCURSION TICKETS l will be issued to Auckland from Helensville, Mercer and intermediate stations on 28th October, and to Taumarunui from Frankton Junction, Ohakune and intermediate stations on 26th and 28th October, all available for return up to 29th October. These tickets WILL NOT be available on Auckland-Wellington Express trains. SATURDAY, 26th OCTOBER, 1912. Morning trains from Frankton Junction and Ohakune to Taumarunui will be slightly accelerated so as to arrive Taumarunui at 2.50 p.m. The afternoon train for Frankton Junction will not leave Taumarunui till 7.0 p.m. MONDAY, 28th OCTOBER, 1912. The morning train from Frankton Junction will be slightly accelerated so as to arrive Taumarunui at 2.45 p.m. The afternoon trains for Frankton Junction and Ohakune will not leave Taumarunui till 7.0 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. A train will leave Raurimu for Taumarunui at 8.35 a.m. MONDAY, 28th OCTOBER, AND TUESDAY, 29th OCTOBER, 1912. A train will leave Taumarunui for Raurimu at 9.30 p.m. The Auckland goods sheds will be closed on 28th October. BY ORDER.
NEW ZEALAND RAILWAYS. THE following railway time-table alterations will operate on and after Ist November:— An Express Train will leave Auckland for Wellington daily Sundays excepted—at 11.55 a.m. An Express Train will leave Wellington for Auckland at 9.10 p.m. on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. These trains will connect at Frankton with trains to and from Rotorua, Thames, Waihi and Cambridge. The present 8.0 p.m. train Frankton to Te Kuiti on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and the 3.45 p.m. train Frankton to Te Kuiti on Thursdays will NOT run. In lieu thereof a train will leave Frankton for Te Kuiti daily—Sundays excepted—at 4.5 p.m. The present 8.10 a.m. Taumarunui to Frankton will leave at 7.30 a.m. A train with second class car will leave Te Kuiti for Frankton at 3.5 The 11.15 a.m. train with car attached Ohakune to Frankton will leave at 10.40 a.m. For further particulars see hand bills.
