The annual meeting of (ho above society was held in the Chronicle office on Monday evening last. A fair nurn- i ber of members were present. . J, Tho election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: Patron, Mr C. K. Wilson, M..P.; president, Mr N. <J. Matthew; 'vicepresidents, Messrs C. Stevens, E. H. Hardy and Major Lusk; secretary "and treasurer, Mr C. C. Castell; committee, Dr Mcßae, Messrs Dransh'old. J. E. Walker, A. S. Cresham, .Stanton and Kelso. Two new members were elected, Messrs Jull. sonr. and junr. Resolved that the committee meet at the Chronicle office on Monday,. October 2Sth, at 7.:;o p.m.
