| THE DISTRICT VOTES. I BACKBLOCKS ROADS. The Public Works Estimates, which were presented to Parliament yesterday, by tha Hon. W. Fraser, contain the following votes which will be of interest to settlers in various parts of the district. Under the heading of "Backbloeks Roads" appears the majority of King Country votes, though in some cases it will be seen that the amounts provided are apparently to cover liability which has already been incurred. In cases where expenditure has already been made the amount is printed after the amount voted:
