In the tug-of-war semi-finals of the Allcomers' Unionist championship, Carlton Brewery, Victoria, beat New Zealand .Irivers in one minute twentysix seconds. Burns Club beat New Zealand in forty-five seconds. New Zealand pulled twice. In the International finals Australia beat Scotland in the full time, ten minutes.
In the Allcomers Carlton beat Burns in seven minutes fifteen seconds.
