Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report:—We held our usual tri-weekly sale in the Hamilton yards on September 26th when we yarded 576 head of cattle, 440 sheep 25 pigs all of which 1 changed hands at satisfactory prices. We quote: Fat bullocks, light weights £8 12s, fat cows £6 7s 6d to £7 lis, forward empty cows £4 10s to £5 ss, 'empty cows £3 10s to £4, 2 vear empty heifers £4 9s to £o ss, yearling heifers £3 Gs to £4 10s. yearling steers £3 to £3 7s 6d, good calves £2 8s to £2 lis, springing heifers £6 To £7 7s 6d, cows close to profit £5 to £9, backward heifers £4 7s 6d to £5 10s The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., and Reduced have received the following cablegram from their London house under Thursday's date: Wool sales* As compared with last sales closing rates prices are higher about Dar to five per cent, for lambs, greasy merino super, scoured merino super, and fine crossbred slipe. About five nercent. higher for merino medium and inferior medium greasy crossfared fine grasy crossbred, medium crossbred slipe, fine scoured crossbred, and medium scoured crossbred. ■Higher about 7J to 10 per cent, for (crossbred lambs, coarse greasy crossbred, coarse crossbred slipe, and coarse scoured crossbred. Buyers operating freely. America is buylig agitable lots of crossbred.
